Ajin Industries, one of Hyundai Motor’s major partners, hosted the “11th Korean War Veterans Memorial Event,” chaired by Chairman Seo Jung-ho. As part of the company’s commitment to giving back to the community in the United States where the company thrives, Ajin Industries, under Chairman Seo’s leadership, once again organized a grand tribute event for Korean War veterans in Alabama this year.

This year holds special significance as it marks the 70th anniversary of the alliance between South Korea and the United States, the 73rd anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War, and the 70th anniversary of the armistice. Chairman Seo, along with around 70 alumni from his high school, returned to U.S. soil to convey his gratitude to the American veterans who participated in the Korean War.

The delegation, including Chairman Seo and the Korean War veterans, continued their 8-day visit, and on the 4th day, the 17th of the month, they held a memorial banquet at the Opelika Battling Event Center at 10 a.m.

During this event, a ceremony was held to present Samsung refrigerators with flags of both the U.S. and South Korea engraved on them, which had a production cost of $4,000 each, to Korean War veterans and their families.

At the luncheon, attendees enjoyed a lively performance by the Blue Suede band, featuring Elvis Presley impersonator, providing entertainment and a festive atmosphere for the Korean War veterans and distinguished guests. Following this, students from Chairman Seo’s alma mater, Daegun High School, sang patriotic songs and other tribute songs for the veterans.

Ajin Industries, founded in 1978, is a primary supplier to the Hyundai Motor Group, specializing in the development and production of automotive body reinforcement panels such as roofs and carriers. Through continuous technological advancements, the company has developed robotics technology and advanced processes in its in-house research laboratory and holds 37 patents and 3 program protection rights.

Chairman Seo has been hosting the Korean War Veterans Memorial Event for the past 11 years since establishing Ajin.Usin USA, a Hyundai supplier in Alabama, in 2014. He expressed his commitment to continuing this tribute event until the last Korean War veteran remains, despite the decreasing number of aging veterans.

Chairman Seo emphasized, “The existence of the Republic of Korea today is a result of the sacrifices made by these Korean War veterans who shed blood during the 6.25 War. Giving back to society with the profits earned from expanding our industry in the United States carries deep meaning.”

He further stated, “Donations are not only an investment in people but also a corporate responsibility,” highlighting the significant role he plays in fostering civil diplomacy between South Korea and the United States through annual events that remember and express gratitude to Korean War veterans.
